William Ray "Old Captain" Riney is the son of Clement Riney, who was the son of Thomas and Priscilla. William is buried in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. He married America Jane Livers on January 3, 1848 in Nelson County/Bardstown, KY. She died January 20, 1858. They had three children: Mary Palestine Riney 1848 - 1881 (married William Thompson), Henry C. Riney 1851 -? (married Mary Emma Mudd), Elizabeth Ann Riney 1854 - ? (married James Thompson) He married a second time to Harriet Frances O'Bryan Stuart (?- 1887) married 3-1-1859 in Nelson County (Bardstown), KY. (She already had 2 children from a first marriage--William "Bud" Stuart and Anna Stuart Lydanne.)
